Here's how you can accept offers on your Steam items & earn Hacksilver.

Introduction

• Forging is the magical act of turning your Steam game item into a digital collectible, weaving its history and power into an ethereal artefact.

• Once forged, your item is open to bids from potential buyers.

• Forging is currently the only way to earn Hacksilver

Pre-requisites

In order to Forge an item, you must have completed every step in Setting Up Your Steam Account.

• Your account should not be "Limited"

• You have installed & setup Steam Guard

• Your Steam inventory is public

• You have configured your Steam Trade URL

Let's Forge

Sign in to Forge and navigate to your Inventory.

How to navigate to your inventory

Choose an item and click "Forge". Consent to Forge Trade offer conditions and proceed.

Next, a trade offer will be sent to you on Steam. This trade offer will be from forge_vault. Accept this trade offer within 10 minutes or the trade/forge action will be cancelled.

forge_vault is the official Forge Vault steam account. Any trade offers from other Steam accounts are not from Forge. Please only accept offers from forge_vault.

Accept Trade Offer within 10 minutes

Steam may display a warning that the offer looks suspicious as forge_vault will not be offering any item in exchange for your item.

This is expected behaviour. The forge_vault account is a secure escrow that holds items on your behalf.

Once you have accepted the trade offer, the Forging process will be complete.

Forge Complete

• Your Forged Item will have been converted to a digital collectible (NFT) that can be traded.

• You will immediately begin to earn Hacksilver per the reward schedule. See Hacksilver
