🏁Setting Up Your Steam Account

To forge, trade game items & earn Hacksilver you need to connect your Steam account.

Requirements

1. Remove 'Limited User' Status

2. Install & Setup Steam Guard

3. Set Steam Inventory to Public

4. Configure Trade URL

Remove 'Limited User' Status

New Steam accounts must spend a minimum of $5 USD to remove 'Limited User' status and gain full trading capabilities. This can be done through purchasing games, adding to your wallet, or buying gift cards.

Install & Setup Steam Guard

• First, add a phone number to your Steam account.

• Then you'd need to install the Steam Mobile app (Android, iOS)

• Follow these instructions to set up the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator.

Important: After setting up Steam Guard, you have to wait 7 days before you can begin forging or trading. See Steam Guard FAQs for more details.

Set Steam Inventory to Public

• Go to your Steam Profile

• Click "Inventory"

• Click on "..." next to "Trade Offers'

Inventory Privacy Settings

• In the drop-down menu, choose "Inventory Privacy Settings"

• Set "Inventory" to "Public"

Configure Trade URL

Your Steam Trade URL allows the Forge Vault bot to send you trade offers. Here's how to configure it.

• On Forge, navigate to Settings.
• Click "Set Up" in the Trade URL section.

• Click the "Get Trade URL" button, this will take you to where your Steam Trade URL is.

• Copy & paste that Trade URL into the text field above and hit "Save".
